The chairperson, Mandy Townsend, called the class to order at 10.30a.m. and welcomed everyone to the 18th Finstock singing day. The memorial lesson was led by Ted Brown who invited the class to think of all the names listed: Maureen Gamlin of Derby, Lonnie Rogers of Georgia, Julietta Haynes of Alabama, Dave Parry of East Hanney Oxfordshire, Peter Schoonjans of Sweden, Marie Ivey of USA, Gordon Carrick of Hull, Joe Reynolds of Denmead, Ben Green of Coleford, James Beale of High Wycombe, and Margaret Dent of Exeter. Ted Brown led the lesson for the Sick and Housebound. The names of the Sick and Housebound were read out as listed:  Bernard Collard of Horspath Oxford, Cath Tyler, Charlotte Walker, Brenda Grimshaw of Southampton, Tony Parkinson of Eastleigh, Jon Lusk of London, Pauline McPartland of County Waterford, Cath Saunt, Eugene Forbes of the USA and Myrtle Ann Ballard of Alabama. Michael Walker led the prayers for all those listed and then led the song on page 138b.
