Sixth Annual Finstock Palm Sunday Sacred Harp singing was held on Sunday 16 April 2000 and was called to order at 10.00 a.m. by Bernard Collard, leading song on page 200. 

Leaders:  Steve Fletcher 48t;  Jill Thompson 497; Ruth Cooper 454; Ros Clements 73b; Sue Ash 107; Ros Argyle 474.  The class were joined by pilgrims from Finstock Church about to leave on the Palm Sunday procession and Edwin Macadam led song on page 236 as they departed.  The class resumed with Tony Singleton leading song on page 312b.  Leaders: Adrian Bolge 370; Dave Townsend 142; Ken Baddley 515; Mandy Townsend 33b; Jackie Patten 143; Rachel Jordan 155 (for her son Dafydd Charles); Susan Duncan 47t; Margaret Gillanders 452; Judy Whiting 171; Sheila Girling Smith 210 (for Vic Gammon);  Tony Singleton 504 (called by Grace Scrimgeour); Ken Baddley 299 (called by Jean Barton); Amanda Collicott with Bernard Collard 84; Linda Fleischman with Dave Richardson 63; Paul Setford 45t; David Stow 350; David Atkin 66; Dave Richardson 335; Bill Meakin 355; Bob Lilley 198; Dave Cooper 324; Simon Beirne 34b; Edwin Macadam 183.

LUNCH RECESS 

During lunch we sang the song on page 324; Birmingham page 22 Northern Harmony; and Birmingham page 4 West Gallery Harmony.

The class was called back to order by Bernard Collard leading song on page 480.  Leaders: Steve Fletcher 85; Jill Thompson 99; Ruth Cooper 268; Dave Townsend 250; Ros Clements 350; Sue Ash 315.  The Memorial Lesson was led by Bernard Collard. We sang "Relief" by Bruce Randall.  Sheila Girling Smith led song on page 86 for the sick and housebound.  The class resumed with Tony Singleton leading song on page 203.  Leaders: Ken Baddley 569; Ros Argyle 147t; Adrian Bolge 32t; Mandy Townsend 106; Rachel Jordan 189; Margaret Gillanders 148; Judy Whiting 460; Sheila Girling Smith 180 (for Freda McManus and Peter Matthews, to be married the next day in California).

RECESS
