At 11:00 a.m. (the 11th hour of the 11th month) a two-minute silence was observed in remembrance of all those killed in the conflict of war. Helen Brown recited the following: “They shall grow not old, as we are that are left grow old; age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn; at the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them”. Song on page 36b was sung in their honour.
