The chairperson, Mandy Townsend, called the class to order at 10.30a.m. and welcomed everyone to the 19th Palm Sunday singing day. She led the first song, 52t and then called upon Michael Walker to give the opening prayer.

The memorial lesson was led by Michael Walker, assisted by Jenneith Codrington. Michael invited the class to think of all the names listed on the memorial list: Bob Bushaway of Birmingham; Jeff Lowe of Warwickshire; John Barry of Ringmer; Derek Wood of Ruskington; Jan Fairley of Edinburgh; Louise’s mum of Portugal; Reginald and Gladys Girling of Glasgow; William Durkin of Marlborough, Mass.; Anne Lea of Witney and Keith Green of Eynsham.

Michael Walker led the lesson for the Sick and Housebound. The names of the Sick and Housebound were read out as listed: Arthur Bateson of Newport Pagnell who has terminal cancer; Don and Charlotte Walker of Virginia; Catherine and Bryan Seale of New Ross, Ireland; John Taylor of High Wycombe; Jean Finnegan of Ringmer; and William Girling of Pickering, Ontario.

The celebratory lesson was led by Michael Walker and the names of were read out as listed: Susan Goss of Melbourne, Australia on her 65th birthday. Michael Walker gave an address on the need for gratitude led the prayers for those listed on all lists and then led the song on page 475.
